Mission

To come alongside women with the encouraging and life changing Word of God.  Providing opportunities for fellowship in the community and beyond.

But Ruth said,

"Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you.  For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge.  Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.  Ruth 1:16 ESV

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Galatians 5:22-26 NIV

Vision

Provide women with resources that foster an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ, strengthen their families, connect them with the local church, and equip them with tools necessary to spread the Gospel in their community and beyond.

Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:16-20 NIV

Statement of Faith

The Holy Scriptures

  • We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God. It is the final authority for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.

  • We believe Scripture is sufficient for teaching, correction, instruction in righteousness, and equipping believers for every good work.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; Psalm 119:105; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 1:20–21

The One True God

  • We believe there is one eternal God, existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each Person is fully God, equal in power and glory, yet one in essence.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ

  • We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as the perfect sacrifice for sin, rose bodily from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will personally and visibly return.

Scripture: John 1:1–14; Isaiah 7:14; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11; Revelation 19:11–16

The Holy Spirit

  • We believe the Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates those who believe in Jesus Christ, indwells every believer, empowers believers for holy living and ministry, distributes spiritual gifts according to His will, and produces Christ like character in the lives of God's people.

Scripture: John 16:7–15; Romans 8:9–11; Galatians 5:22–23; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11

Humanity

  • We believe every person is created in the image of God and therefore possesses inherent dignity, value, and worth. Because of Adam's sin, all humanity is affected by sin and stands separated from God apart from His saving grace.

  • Every person is in need of the redemption found only through Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12; Ephesians 2:1–3

Salvation

  • We believe salvation is the free gift of God's grace and is received through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Salvation cannot be earned through good works, religious observance, personal merit, or human effort.

  • Jesus Christ's death on the cross and bodily resurrection provide the only sufficient payment for sin. Those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ are forgiven, justified before God, adopted into His family, and receive eternal life.

Scripture: John 3:16; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10; Titus 3:5–7

The Assurance and Eternal Security of Salvation

  • We believe salvation is the work of God's grace from beginning to end. Those who have truly repented of their sins and placed their faith in Jesus Christ are eternally secure because their salvation is accomplished by Christ, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and kept by the power of God—not by human effort.

  • We believe a person who has genuinely been born again cannot lose his or her salvation. Eternal life is the gift of God, and Jesus promises that His sheep will never perish and that no one can snatch them from His hand.

  • While believers may stumble, experience seasons of disobedience, or require God's loving discipline, their failures do not undo the finished work of Jesus Christ. Believers are nevertheless called to repentance, obedience, holiness, and perseverance. A transformed life and spiritual fruit are evidence of genuine saving faith, not the means by which salvation is earned or maintained.

  • We also believe Scripture distinguishes genuine saving faith from an empty profession of faith. Those who ultimately and permanently reject Christ demonstrate that their profession of faith was not genuine.

  • Our confidence in salvation therefore rests not in our ability to keep ourselves saved, but in the finished work of Jesus Christ and the faithfulness and keeping power of God.

Scripture: John 5:24; John 6:37–40; John 10:27–29; Romans 8:1, 28–39; Ephesians 1:13–14; Ephesians 4:30; Philippians 1:6; 1 Peter 1:3–5; Hebrews 7:25; 1 John 2:19; Jude 24–2

The Church

  • We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church.

  • The Church exists to glorify God through worship, prayer, biblical teaching, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, service, and the proclamation of the Gospel. Believers are called to gather together, encourage one another, exercise their spiritual gifts, make disciples, and carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ into the world.

  • We believe participation in and commitment to a faithful local church are important parts of Christian discipleship and spiritual growth.

Scripture: Matthew 28:18–20; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27; Ephesians 1:22–23; Ephesians 4:11–16; Hebrews 10:24–25

Biblical Leadership and the Office of Pastor

  • We believe God calls and equips both men and women to serve His Kingdom, make disciples, encourage and teach others in biblically appropriate contexts, exercise their spiritual gifts, participate in ministry, and faithfully proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  • We also believe Scripture establishes distinct roles within the leadership of the local church. In accordance with the biblical qualifications and order given for church leadership, we believe the office of pastor/elder (overseer) of the local church is reserved for biblically qualified men.

  • This distinction does not diminish the dignity, spiritual value, giftedness, or importance of women in the Body of Christ. Scripture provides many examples of women who faithfully served God, discipled and instructed others, supported the work of ministry, exercised spiritual gifts, and played significant roles in advancing the Gospel.

Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:11–14; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9; Ephesians 4:11–13; Romans 16:1–4; Titus 2:3–5

Refurbished by Grace Ministries therefore encourages both men and women to faithfully use the gifts God has given them while honoring the biblical order God has established for pastoral leadership within the local church.

Sanctification and Christian Living

  • We believe every believer is called to continual spiritual growth and increasing Christ likeness through the transforming work of the Holy Spirit and obedience to God's Word.

  • Followers of Jesus Christ are called to pursue holiness, reject sin, love God and others, demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, and live lives that bring glory to God.

  • We believe obedience does not earn salvation but should increasingly characterize the life of a person who has genuinely been transformed by the grace of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:16–25; Philippians 2:12–13; Colossians 3:1–17; 1 Peter 1:15–16

Marriage, Family, and Sexuality

  • We believe God created humanity as male and female in His image. We believe marriage is a sacred covenant established by God between one biological man and one biological woman and is intended to reflect Christ's relationship with His Church.

  • We believe sexual intimacy is a gift from God intended exclusively for the covenant of biblical marriage. We believe Christians are called to honor God's design for marriage, sexuality, and the family as revealed in Scripture.

  • At the same time, we believe every person should be treated with dignity, compassion, kindness, and respect because every person bears the image of God. Biblical conviction and Christ like compassion are not opposing principles. We are called to speak the truth in love and extend the grace and hope of Jesus Christ to all people.

Scripture: Genesis 1:26–28; Genesis 2:18–24; Matthew 19:4–6; 1 Corinthians 6:18–20; Ephesians 4:15; Ephesians 5:22–33; Hebrews 13:4

The Sanctity of Human Life

  • We believe every human life is sacred because every person is created in the image of God.

  • We believe human life begins at conception and is worthy of dignity, protection, and compassionate care through every stage of life—from conception to natural death.

  • We affirm the intrinsic value of the unborn, children, adults, the elderly, and people with disabilities or other vulnerabilities. Human worth is not determined by age, ability, health, independence, economic circumstances, social status, or perceived usefulness.

  • Our value comes from our Creator.

  • Therefore, we believe Christians are called to protect vulnerable human life, care compassionately for mothers and families facing difficult circumstances, support those in need, and demonstrate both truth and grace.

  • We also believe the Gospel offers forgiveness, healing, restoration, and hope through Jesus Christ. Those who have experienced abortion or other painful circumstances should be met not with condemnation but with the truth, mercy, forgiveness, and transforming grace available through Christ.

Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27; Job 31:15; Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:41–44; Proverbs 24:11–12

Christian Stewardship and Service

  • We believe everything we possess ultimately belongs to God. Christians are therefore called to faithfully steward their time, talents, spiritual gifts, finances, relationships, opportunities, possessions, and influence for God's glory.

  • Every believer has been gifted by God and is called to use those gifts to serve others and advance His Kingdom.

Scripture: Matthew 25:14–30; Romans 12:4–8; 1 Corinthians 4:2; 1 Peter 4:10–11; Colossians 3:23–24

The Great Commission

  • We believe every follower of Jesus Christ participates in His mission to make disciples of all nations.

  • We are called to proclaim the Gospel, teach God's Word, demonstrate the love of Christ, and help others grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Matthew 28:18–20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1:8; Romans 1:16; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20

Refurbished by Grace Ministries is committed to sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ and helping individuals and families view every area of life through the truth of Scripture.

The Return of Jesus Christ, Judgment, and Eternity

  • We believe Jesus Christ will personally, bodily, and visibly return.

  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost, the final judgment, eternal life with God for those who belong to Jesus Christ, and eternal separation from God for those who reject Him.

  • We believe God will ultimately establish a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells and where His redeemed people will live in His presence forever.

Scripture: John 14:1–3; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Revelation 20:11–15; Revelation 21:1–5

Our Foundation

In all matters of doctrine, ministry, leadership, relationships, service, and Christian living, the Word of God is our final authority. Cultural opinions, traditions, personal experiences, and changing societal standards do not supersede the truth revealed in Scripture.

Refurbished by Grace Ministries is committed to speaking biblical truth with grace, demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ, and remaining faithful to God's Word.

Scripture: Isaiah 40:8; Psalm 119:160; John 17:17; 2 Timothy 3:16–17
